No strings: meet the puppet star of new play Killing Roger

I think in relation to the puppets there are many routes in which we can go down in terms of design and how the puppet moves. I think our biggest intention for the puppets is to make it seem as life like as possible. It is really important for us that the puppets have this human element to them, as then the audience will have more empathy towards them. I think of all the research I have done, my favourite is the no strings, I think that the puppet Roger that they have created is very life like, I like the way in which they have numerous people controlling the puppet, as well as the care in which they take to control the puppet. I believe that we can take some influence from this puppet design, in the way that the puppeteers use there own hands for the puppet.
